The Ministry of Interior has called on citizens wishing to travel to Germany to be briefed on its visa entry requirements and the relevant information. Director General of the Department of Public Relations and Information at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Maraoul said that the Ministry received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that it is working to follow up solution for all the difficulties being faced by Saudis at Frankfurt Airport, including their ignorance of Germany visa entry's regulations and requirements and confusion happened when they have gotten "Schengen" visa from an Embassy other than the German Embassy, and the importance of applying for the visa from the Embassy of the country to which the traveler will first arrive, otherwise will be contrary to its regulations governing that. He also noted that citizens have to consider the validity of "Schengen" visa granted to them and their conformity with the purpose of travel in addition to the disclosure of the amounts of their money upon arrival, and the need to inform customs if the amount exceeds more than 10,000 euros or equivalent in other currencies. He recommended citizens to be cautious in their trading deals with some nationalities residing in Germany in light of the increasing cases of fraud therein.
