Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of Saudi Ophthalmological Society (SOS) and the Executive Director General of King Khaled Eye Specialist hospital (KKESH) Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Rajhi inaugurated the activities of Saudi Ophthalmology Conference 2017 organized by KKESH and SOS here yesterday, under the auspices of Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah. During the conference opening ceremony, the Executive Medical Director of KKESH, Dr. Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Mesfer delivered a speech in which he explained that this year's Ophthalmology meeting focuses on the latest developments in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery, which include the specialties of: "Osteoporosis, Frontal Stroke, Retina, Glaucoma (Blue Water), optics, and pharmacokinetics." Then, Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz delivered a speech in which he expressed his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his support and care for medicine in general and ophthalmic medicine and surgery in particular. He also expressed thanks to Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Honorary President of SOS for his continued support and guidance to the Society for making it enjoy a distinguished position regionally and internationally. In his speech, Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz welcomed attendees of the Saudi Ophthalmology Conference 2017, in which an elite of male and female doctors from universities and hospitals from inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are participating.
