Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud launched here today King Abdulaziz Public Library at Peking University and received the honorary doctorate from Peking University. Upon arrival, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was received Chinese Education Minister Chen Baosheng and a number of officials. Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques unveiled the curtain on a plaque commemorating the opening of King Abdulaziz Public Library at Peking University. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. Then, Faisal bin Moammar, General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, providing information about the library in the university. Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received the honorary doctorate from Peking University. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques delivered a speech in which he expressed pleasure to visit Peking University, thanking the university for granting him the honorary doctorate. "I seized the opportunity to assert the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's interest in the science and knowledge. Science is the foundation of the nations' renaissance and progress," the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said. "I am pleased regarding launching King Abdulaziz Public Library at this prestigious university. I call for further cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China in various fields of scientific research serving the two countries and peoples," the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques added. Two valuable books about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China were granted to King Abdulaziz Public University.
