The Riyadh police have arrested two Ethiopians for robbing a Saudi citizen in broad daylight. Acting on information gathered, the police arrested the two men, both illegal residents in their 30s, Riyadh police spokesman Col. Fawaz Al-Mayman said. Evidence pointed to their involvement in robbing the citizen of SR 39,000 in the Ashibilya neighborhood east of the capital. The two suspects used a cleaver to threaten the victim and rob him. They then fled the scene in a car they had rented using false documents. Col. Al-Mayman said the audacious robbery in full public view had terrorized ordinary citizens. A search team spread their net with the limited information available. One of the suspects was soon arrested and on questioning admitted to the crime. Based on the information provided, his partner was also arrested after an ambush. The two suspects reenacted their crime. Further investigations are ongoing to determine their possible involvement in similar crimes in the past.
