Police here arrested 13 persons of various Asian and African nationalities for their involvement in over 70 robbery cases. In a sting operation, police deployed undercover agents in areas from which several robbery reports had been received. The gang members were arrested one by one and a number of them confessed to carrying out more than 40 robberies, stealing money and mobile phones. Most of the crimes were committed near Salam Park in the central part of the city. The suspects also confessed to robbing 10 shops and three homes at gunpoint.
