Saudi businessmen have been invited to invest in India, particularly in the state of Gujarat, home to the country's petrochemical industries. Speaking during a recent meeting with a Saudi-Indian Business Council delegation, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that his state would provide all the required facilities to interested investors. The delegation was participating in the eighth Gujarat Global Summit under the chairmanship of Kamal Salah Al-Din Al-Munjid, Council Chairman. The Chief Minister appreciated the Kingdom's participation in the summit for the first time and for the maiden visit by a Saudi delegation to the state. On his part, Al-Munjid thanked the Chief Minister and said there were also big opportunities for Indian companies to transact business in Saudi Arabia. He referred to the rapid development seen by the Kingdom, and said the Saudi Vision 2030 encouraged cooperation with strategic partners, including India, to fulfill its objectives. Besides the 35-plus businessmen who participated in the Summit, the delegation also comprised representatives from the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) and the Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON).
