The commercial affairs sector of Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) for air traffic has announced that its operational plan of the international sector for 2016, included an increase in both the flights and seating capacity, as well as the intensification of the national carrier's presence at the regional and international levels, particularly at the stations witnessing a growing demand for travel. This was announced by SAUDIA Chief Executive Officer for Commercial Affairs, Khalid bin Hammad Al-Balawi, adding that modernizing and increasing number of the aircraft allowed to add more than 2.84 million seats as a seating capacity at the level of international sector in the new year to reach 18,137,657 seats, up 18.6% compared to the operation plan of 2015. Al-Balawi said that arrival of the new aircraft and joining the operating system will support "SAUDIA" plans to increase its market share at the level of international sector.
