Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir at the Foreign Ministry in Islamabad yesterday met Adviser to Pakistani Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and ways of enhancing them in all fields, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international developments of mutual interest. In a press statement after the meeting, Minister Al-Jubeir said that the kingdom and Pakistan enjoy an excellent relationship and Pakistan is one of the countries that always stand side by side with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to face any challenges in the region or any challenges concerning the two countries. The cooperation and coordination are continuing, he said. The minister added that the visit was an opportunity to continue consultation and coordination and to exchange views on a number of matters of mutual interest to the two countries and the region, as it was an opportunity to consider how to strengthen and intensify relations in all fields, whether in the security, military or economic fields, particularly trade and investment. He added that there are committees shared between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in several areas. Ways of activating them were considered for the service of the interests of the two countries, he stated. For his part, Sartaj Aziz said his talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs were constructive, adding that they discussed bilateral relations and regional developments that concern the two countries.
