Cristiano Ronaldo keeps Real Madrid in the battle for the Spanish league title by banging in a hat-trick in the 3-2 win at fifth-placed Sevilla, dpa reported. Ronaldo scored twice in the first half then Carlos Bacca replied for Sevilla by converting a penalty. Ronaldo completed his hat-trick to make it 3-1 then Vicente Iborra pulled a late goal back for Sevilla, who suffered their first home defeat in 19 months. The eventful win leaves Real two points behind Barcelona, who earlier Saturday enjoyed an 8-0 romp at relegated Cordoba, with Luis Suarez putting away a hat-trick.
