Ayoon wa Azan ("Like Father Like Son")
Published in AL HAYAT on 17 - 12 - 2012

There was the recent news that Senator Jim DeMint resigned from the Senate to head the right-wing Heritage Foundation think tank. It seems like the American right is trying to re-organize its ranks after Mitt Romney's loss to Barack Obama, and the eclipse of the stars of the Tea Party of political adolescents, such as DeMint.
The Koch brothers, David and Charles, – the billionaire Likud supporters – had earlier succeeded in taking over the Cato Institute, which they helped established and funded. They also have the American Enterprise Institute, the Bradley Foundation, MEMRI, the Hudson Institute, and others.
In the previous decade, the Republican Party represented right-wing extremist policies, led by a cabal of neoconservatives who tried to impose American military and economic hegemony around the world. The Bush administration failed to carry this out, however, and generated a severe global economic crisis. Instead of changing, the party has become more right-wing and insular. I "credit" Bill Kristol, the pro-Likud commentator, with this achievement; Kristol helped John McCain lose to Obama in 2008, and convinced Romney to use the same policy in 2012, as the Republicans lost once again.
As the saying goes, "like father like son." Kristol, the editor of The Weekly Standard, does not only not resemble his father Irving, but is even viler. He is part of the evil gang that always puts Israel's interests above those of the United States itself. This cabal has supported every war against Arabs and Muslims. I accuse him of sharing responsibility for the murder of one million Arabs and Muslims with the Bush-Cheney administration.
Irving Kristol, who was the godfather of the neoconservatives, passed away in 2009. Carrying his pro-Israel banner afterward was his son, who was even more extreme, if that is possible. He was a key member of the New American Century Project, which was comprised of ultra-neoconservatives, most of them Likudniks loyal to Israel. It was established in 1997 to support Binyamin Netanyahu during his first term as prime minister. It was famous for sending a letter to President Bill Clinton on 21 January 1998, asking him for a war on Iraq, for reasons having to do with Israel. Clinton, intelligently, declined, but the gang was successful with that idiot George W Bush. After the terror of 11 September 2001, Bush carried out what was requested in a letter of 20 September, or immediately after the terror.
In 2009, the Project for a New American Century was followed by a foreign policy initiative, after its objectives were used to prompt the Bush administration to fight wars in Afghanistan and Iraq against terror, wars that were all lost. However, the neoconservatives won, by killing hundreds of thousands of Arabs and Muslims. The initiative argues the existence of an Israeli alliance and fights against any opponents of Israel. It is targeted at the House and the Senate, and carries out intellectual and financial terror against congressmen.
The foreign policy initiative was followed in 2010 by the Emergency Committee for Israel, whose name indicates that there is no attempt to hide loyalty to the Jewish state. It is like the fascist racists in the government of Israel. It was established by Kristol and Gary Bauer, whose name was put forward as a presidential candidate, and Rachel Abrams, the wife of Elliott Abrams, who worked for Israel in successive American administrations.
Kristol believes that he "purged the Arabists" of the Republican Party, such as George H W Bush, James Baker, and Brent Scowcroft.
I read that the Task Force was founded to confront J Street, a moderate Jewish lobby that supports Israel but also calls for peace. The Task Force claims that the lobby focuses on Israel's mistakes. I say that mistakes are the least of what Israel does; it is a neo-Nazi state that commits sins, kills children and prisoners, and it is the last Apartheid state in the world. Its future is as dark as the hearts of its leaders, or the founders of the Task Force, which fought congressional candidates only on the accusation that they were not loyal to Israel. It focused on a congresswoman from California, Lois Capps, who has usually criticized Israel. But she defeated the entire gang and was re-elected last month to the House, for the sixth time in a row. I say to her, Congratulations.
