The neoconservatives are everywhere around the campaign of Mitt Romney, the upcoming Republican candidate for the White House. I will not say that they have him wrapped around their fingers, because to me they are political garbage – and I will not say more than that so as not to spoil the reader's morning. We know that they had sought for a war on Iraq (and Iran) years before the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, after which they went on to falsify the premises that they used to justify the invasion of Iraq, and the killing of more than one million Arabs and Muslims. The evil gang comprising the Likudniks and the neocons is still lobbying for wars against Iran or Syria, and opposing the planned withdrawal from Afghanistan just like they opposed the withdrawal from Iraq. Recall that the godfather of the neoconservative gang Bill Kristol wrote on 26/11/2011, “With the Taliban dislodged and Osama bin Laden increasingly shorn of allies, the endgame seems to be in sight in Afghanistan." However, ‘the game', 11 years later after Kristol wrote down his wishful thinking, is still ongoing. However, Kristol has the audacity to insist on his stances, as do the other neocons whose wars ended up almost destroying the United States economically and militarily. Then we hear Alan Dershowitz, a professor that does not do Harvard University much honor for having its name tied to his, calling for a war on Iran, and alleging that the latter is building dirty bombs to send towards Israel's shores – without adducing any evidence of his claims-, and that Iran supports Hamas, which to him is grounds for war against it. Where do I start? Israel is a neo-Nazi occupying state, and resisting occupation is a legitimate right. His claims about threats to Israel are the crux of the matter here, because Iran cannot pose a threat to the United States, not in a thousand years. Despite this fact, Dershowitz wants a war on Iran to serve Israel. In other words, this presumed American wants to sacrifice America's youths once again for Israeli reasons, as though the six thousand dead Americans in Afghanistan and Iraq are not enough for him. Here, I will cite an Israeli opinion on such depraved extremists: The former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert gave a speech in New York near the end of last April, and was interrupted with jeers again and again, when he criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the advocates of war on Iran, and he responded to them thus: Since I am a concerned Israeli citizen who lives in Israel with his family and all his children and grandchildren, I love the courage of those who live 10,000 miles away from the State of Israel and are ready that we will make every possible mistake that will cost Israeli lives. My objection here is not about Israeli lives being lost, because if they want a war on Iran then they must be willing to pay the price. Instead, I object to sacrificing America's youths to serve the interests of Israel. The chutzpah of the neocons knows no bounds. For example, they have claimed that the uprisings of the Arab youths were the result of the war on Iraq and the ‘Freedom Agenda' pursued by the Bush administration. This is an insult to the Youths. This time the response came from one of the heroes of Egypt's youth revolution, Wael Ghoneim. When asked whether the invasion of Iraq had inspired the revolution in Egypt, he said: “Not at all. The war in Iraq killed so many innocent people, and it's not something that any civilized nation should be proud of." The other response to the gang can in fact be found in the position of none other than the American people, since every public opinion poll has shown that a majority of two-thirds of them is opposed to the war in Iraq. The neocons do not represent American public opinion. Rather, they are a war cabal that represents the extreme Israeli right, betraying America and sacrificing its interests. I have returned to the neocons today because they are all around the candidate Mitt Romney, and the stench of their rotten policies is polluting the air, all the way to the highest layers of the atmosphere. Romney, Netanyahu's ally, supports a war on Iran, and his policy is to increase military spending and cut taxes, which certainly entails domestic spending cuts to levels unseen since the Great Depression, eighty years ago. The neocons do not care about anything but Israel, even if the price is for the Americans to starve and lose their jobs. [email protected]
