At least 16 people were killed and more than a dozen injured when their bus hit a truck and caught fire in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, police said Saturday. The accident took place late Saturday in Bahraich district about 130 kilometres north-east of state capital Lucknow, district superintendent of police GP Kanujia said. At least 60 people were travelling on the bus to a shrine of Ajmer in Rajasthan when it collided with a parked truck on the outskirts of Bahraich town.
