Jordanian King Abdullah II met here today with Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammad Kamel Amr. During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing bilateral ties and discussed regional developments and issues of common interest. The Jordanian King and the Egyptian minister also reviewed efforts of the UN-Arab League peace envoy Kofi Annan to find a solution to the Syrian crisis, end bloodshed and violence and start a comprehensive political dialogue in the country. The Jordanian King stressed the need to coordinate Arab efforts on the Middle East peace process with the aim of reaching a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of the two-state solution that addresses all final status issues and leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Al-Quds as its capital.
