Presided over by its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-SHeikh, Majlis Al-Shura rejected a proposal by a subcommittee to change the General Presidency of Youth Welfare to a clear-cut Ministry of Youth and Sports, saying that the Supreme Committee for the Administrative Reform is the authority in charge of this matter. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the Shura 33rd ordinary session, Khalid bin Musa Al-Dhubaiban, Assistant Secretary General of the chamber, said the council listened to viewpoints of Social, Family and Youth Committee regarding the two annual reports of the General Presidency of Youth Welfare for the two fiscal years 1430/1431H-1431/1432H. Majlis Al-Shura also approved draft memorandums of understanding between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and each of the United Kingdom, the State of Bermuda, the Republic of Albania, the Republic of Finland, the Republic of Poland, and the Republic of Slovenia.
