The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) has awarded the Heritage Charitable Foundation of Saudi Arabia the Arab Grand Prize on Heritage in recognition of its efforts in introducing the Saudi legacy on today's state-of-the-art means of information. In a ceremony held here last night, Dr. Osama bin Mohammed Al-Joharry, the Director General of the foundation, received the prize on behalf of Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the President and Founder of the charity, from Dr. Hamad Al-Kawari, Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Qatar and Dr. Mohammed bin Ashoor, Director General of ALECSO. The charity has published and widely-distributed two books titled "Arab and Islamic Civilization Across History in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" and "Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah: its Constructional and Urban designs and Plans".
