"Noor" system, an information program developed by the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aiming at practicing the most advanced means of communication with some 2.5 million teachers, supervisors, students and parents in the country, won here today a prestigious award of the World Summit on Information Society. The award was handed over to Dr. Jarallah Al-Ghamdi, Counselor Supervisor of the Information Technology of the Education Ministry, at a ceremony held in Geneva today on the fringes of the summit which was attended by participants from 150 countries and organizations. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SAP), Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed, Minister of Education, extended congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, on this occasion.
