Saudi Armed Forces have proved their distinction and excellence through their participation in the Exercises of Ready Lion - 2012 currently in progress in Jordan. Aircrafts of Royal Saudi Air Forces have carried out a number of successful flights including reconnaissance, surveillance, advance warning, air interception, and refueling operations. As for Royal Saudi Land Forces, they have taken part in operations including storming, hostage release, fighting in building and mountainous areas. On their part, the Royal Saudi Naval Forces have participated in training operations including naval attacks, the fight against piracy, inspection of ships and combating terrorism and sea piracy. It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia is the largest third country to participate in the exercises.
