A number of ministers and officials have congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the 7th anniversary of his ascension to the throne and the Saudi people pledged allegiance to him. In statements and addresses on this occasion which falls on May 17, the Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen said that the King's prosperous era has witnessed gigantic developmental achievements, noting that developmental projects have cost billions of riyals so that sustainable development prevails throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For his part, the Minister of Civil Service Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Barrak said that the King has issued, over seven years of his prosperous era, a number of historical decisions on government employment including increase of salaries by 15%, allowance of high living expenses by 15%, transfer from temporary to permanent jobs of 120,000 employees in 1426Ah and 205,000 in 1432AH, and two months salaries as allowance for all government employees. In his address, the President of General Organization for Seaports Eng. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri said that there are projects under implementation at a cost of more than SR 4 billion, in addition to completion and operation of a new seaport at Ras Al-Khair at a cost of more than SR 2 billion. --More
