Iraqi police say five people have died in an attack on the home of a government employee northeast of Baghdad. Diyala provincial police spokesman Col. Ghalib al-Karkhi says gunmen broke into the house of Interior Ministry worker Tariq Mohammed in the city of Baqouba early on Wednesday and shot him dead, along with his 18-year old son. Minutes later, a bomb planted by the gunmen exploded as neighbors rushed to the shooting scene. The blast killed three and wounded five people, according to a report of the Associated Press. Baqouba, the provincial capital of Diyala, is 60 kilometers (35 miles) northeast of Baghdad.
