The U.S. military is sending trainers back into Yemen for "routine" cooperation with Yemeni security forces, the Pentagon said Tuesday. Pentagon spokesman Navy Captain John Kirby told reporters that "small numbers" of U.S. trainers have recently returned to Yemen. Kirby did not go into specifics about the number of trainers or when they arrived there. A U.S. military training program in Yemen was stopped last year. Current President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi has asked for increased U.S. counterterrorist cooperation.
