Dr. Saad Al-Katatni, Speaker of Egyptian People's Assembly, stressed the depth of Saudi-Egyptian relations. In a statement before the session of the Egyptian People's Assembly today, Al-Katatni said that he made a telephone call to Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura, stressing the depth of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Egypt. He confirmed that the historical relations will not be affected by a transient incident. "We are not pleased of what has happened in the vicinity of the Saudi embassy which recently led to recall the ambassador for consultations and closure of the Saudi embassy and consulates in Alexandria and Suez," Al-Katatni said. He pointed out that the issue of the Egyptian citizen can be solved by the law.
