The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received today a telephone call from the Commander-in-Chief of the Supreme Council of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi. During the telephone conversation, Field Marshal Tantawi reviewed the historical relations binding the two brotherly countries, expressing hope that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will reconsider its decision of recalling Saudi Ambassador to Egypt for consultations in addition to closing the Kingdom's embassy in Cairo as well as its consulates in Alexandria and Suez. For his part, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said that he will consider this issue during the coming days in light of the circumstances and the interests of the two countries which stem from a long history of cordial relations between the two brotherly countries.
