Upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to promote the development of regions and improve services for citizens and expatriates alike in all regions of the Kingdom, the Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior announced that the Ministry of Interior has conducted a comprehensive study aimed at the activation of the law of regions and its implementing regulations to develop a number of governorates of class (B) to class (A) as well as upgrading a number of centers of class (A) to be governorates of class (B). The study has been done after coordination with the Governors of regions, he said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), stressing that the objectives of this step is to raise the level of performance and achieve positive results in terms of vital service projects, security, health facilities, education and transport as well as other services. On this occasion, the Crown Prince extended his highest thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for this generous gesture.
