Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, held talks here today with the Prime Minister of Malta Lawrence Gonzi within his current visit to Malta. During the visit, bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in addition to a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed. Following the meeting, the Emir of Qatar and Prime Minister of Malta were present at signing ceremony for a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding in the security fields, organized crime, economy, arts, education, higher education and scientific research.
