Qatar's Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani received here today Malta's President George Abela currently visiting Qatar. During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing relations between the two countries in all fields. Following the meeting, several agreements were signed, including a draft agreement on cooperation in the legal field; an agreement on news exchange; an agreement on air transport; a memorandum of understanding between the Qatari Olympic Committee and Sports Council of Malta in the field of sports; an agreement on double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income; and a memorandum of understanding on bilateral consultations between the two countries' foreign ministries.
