AL welcomes UN Security Council resolution to send observers to Syria

The Arab League today welcomed the UN Security Council resolution No. 2042 to send observers to Syria to monitor the ceasefire.
In a statement, Arab League's Deputy Secretary General Ahmed bin Hali said the Arab League has endorsed the decision because it reflects an international will to support the mission of the UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan and its keenness to implement the plan's detailed points to pave the way for launching a political process that achieves the reforms and aspirations of the Syrian people.
