Tvnazran, Jumada I 21, 1433, Apr 13, 2012, SPA -- Police in the North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia surrounded and opened fire at a group of militants near the settlements of Muzhichi and Galashki in Sunzhen district late on Thursday. Mortar fire was used against estimated 7-12 bandits and some were reported killed and wounded. There were no losses among police, Itar-Tass reported. At present the operation has been suspended until dawn. Police said it blocked all possibilities for the militants to escape.
