The Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, said that the Committee set up by the GCC countries to study the proposal of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud made at GCC Summit held in Riyadh on the transfer from cooperation to union stage will submit its final report to the Consultative Summit of GCC leaders scheduled for next May. He noted in a statement on the sidelines of the 40th meeting of Board of Directors of GCC Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry held in Abu Dhabi today that a committee was formed of the Directors General of Customs to study all issues related to the establishment of Customs Union among GCC Member States. Dr. Al-Zayani emphasized that all joint projects among GCC states are running according to specific programs, particularly the projects of Customs Union, Gulf Common Market, electrical connection, and railways.
