On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Minister of Water and Electricity Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Husayn opened here today the activities of "10th Conference on Water Desalination in Arab Countries". The four-day conference is held at Riyadh Intercontinental Hotel, and organized by the Ministry of Water and Electricity and the Saline Water Conversion Corporation. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. At the end of the opening ceremony, the Minister of Water and Electricity opened an exhibition held on the sidelines of the conference. The exhibition highlighted the equipment used in the desalination process. The opening ceremony was attended by a number of ministers and representatives of Arab countries and regional and international organizations participating the conference. The conference aims to exchange experiences between stakeholders in the Arab countries in the field of desalination through the presentation of successful experiences for the development of desalination technology to gain access to their development.
