A militant was killed in a police operation in Khasavyurt, Dagestan, the republican department of the Russian Investigation Committee told Itar-Tass on Sunday. "The suspect opened fire at a police patrol, which tried to stop his car for inspection on Groznenskaya Street in Khasavyurt last night. He was shot dead," the department said.
