The Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, who is leading the Saudi delegation to the 37th annual meetings of the governors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDBG) Group, currently held here, said Saudi Arabia is the official Sponsor of the IDBG, as it is under the care and interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the sidelines of the meetings, Al-Assaf said the delegates have commended IDBG for assisting Islamic countries, drawing the attention that the membership of IDB has reached to 57 countries. While its transactions have exceeded $ 8 billion, he remarked, its consolidate turnover has recorded over $ 80 billion, in addition to other miscellaneous services.
