Japanese shares edged up Monday, the first rise in four trading sessions, as the yen's decline against major currencies helped lift some export-oriented issues. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 26.31 points, or 0.26 per cent, to end at 10,109.87 while the broader Topix index was up 1.7 points, or 0.2 per cent, at 856.05, according to a report of DPA.
