The security spokesman of Interior Ministry announced that the concerned security authorities have successfully arrested over the months of (Muharram, Safar, Rabi'I and Rabi'II) of 1433 H., 681 accused persons, 96 of them are Saudis and 585 from 33 different nationalities who were involved in trafficking and selling different kinds of narcotics the market value of which is estimated at SR1,724,918,685. Twenty of the security men were injured during 43 operations from armed traffickers, the spokesman added. He further said that the amounts of drugs and psychotropic substances seized are as follows: (6,299,600) kg of raw heroin; (10,612,378) ton of hashish; (13,263,358) of drug tablets; and (1,686) kg of cocaine, in addition to cash amounting to SR16,732,430.
