Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Defense, paid an inspection visit today to the Eastern Fleet of the Navy in Jubail. He was accompanied by Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, and Prince Juluwe bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Region. At the venue, he was received by Chief of General Staff General Hussein Al-Gibail, Commander of the Eastern Region Major General Ali Assiri and Commander of the Eastern Fleet of the Navy Rear Admiral Abdulkareem Abu-Al-Ela and other senior officers. Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz was briefed on the preparedness of the fleet and its defensive functions. Then, he reviewed a parade of the fleet. A speech ceremony was also held. Addressing the leaders and soldiers of the fleet, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to them, wishing them every success in their duties. He expressed satisfaction over the preparedness of the fleet and its leadership, confirming that the Saudi armed forces with all its branches: land, navy, air and air defense forces, is eligible to protect the country and its sanctuaries, values, principles and religion. In written remarks, he also lauded the preparedness of the navy under the leadership of the Commander of all the armed forces King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince.
