Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defence, inspected today the 92nd squadron of the 3rd aviation wing of the Eastern Sector at King Abdulaziz Airbase in the Eastern Region. Upon arrival, Prince Salman was received by Chief of General Staff Gen. Hussein Al-Qubail; Commander of the Eastern Region Major General Ali Asiri; and Commander of King Abdulaziz Airbase Air Vice Marshal Abdulghani Al-Thubaiti. A speech ceremony was held to mark the visit. Addressing the gathering, Al-Thubaiti said King Abdulaziz airbase was considered the starting point of building the Saudi armed forces and it is now one of the biggest in the (Middle East) region. In written remarks, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz expressed pride of the high-level capabilities of the base, including its highly skilled pilots who work for the protection and preservation of the country's sanctuaries, properties and people.
