Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, General President of Meteorology and Environment Protection and Chairman of Saudi Environment Society has opened the works of the 3rd International Gulf Forum and Exhibition of Environment and Sustainable Development under the title of "Green Economy ... Social Responsibility." Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz is also the Chairman of the Forum in its 3rd session. The three-day Forum was opened in the presence of Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for Petroleum Affairs; Dr. Mustafa Kamal Hussein, Egypt's Minister of Environmental Affairs; Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, Qatar's Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority; Dr. Michael Garwood, Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organization; more than 1,000 scientists, researchers and interested in the environmental affairs. Supervised by the General Presidency of Meteorology and Environment Protection and organized by the Saudi Environment Society, a huge number of environmental and economic figures and ministers are taking part in the Forum for the first time in addition to 50 speakers globally and locally, decision makers of specialists, interested parties and researchers in the areas of environment and sustainable development. A number of local and regional organizations and international agencies are also participating in the Forum which will discuss the situation and environmental developments taking place in the world.
