Dr. Misaam Tamim, Representative of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has hailed the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the environmental field and drawing strategies, conferences and forums that reflected positively to provide a clean environment protecting the future generations. In a press statement on the occasion of holding the 3rd International Gulf Forum and Exhibition for Environment and Sustainable Development here under the theme "Green Economy... Social Responsibility", Dr. Tamim said that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia started to head forward the sustainable development and the application of the concepts of green economy in its projects and using the solar energy in a lot of its development projects, noting the role that Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, General President of Meteorology and Environment Protection is playing in this regard.
