President of Jordanian Red Crescent Society Dr. Mohammad Al-Hadeed and his accompanying delegation arrived here last night on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On arrival at King Khaled International Airport, they were greeted by Prince Abdullah bin Faisal bin Abdul-Rahman bin Farhan, Director of international relations at the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and other officials. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al-Hadeed hailed the attention being extended by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to the humanitarian needs and services. He said the Kingdom has always been in the front in rescuing and assisting its brothers and alleviating their sufferings in various Arab and Islamic countries. "These humanitarian works are quite evident through missions of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the Saudi assistance wherever we travel," Al-Hadeed added. He also highlighted the current situation and conditions of Syrian brothers, who have been displaced from their country and are forced to stay in the neighboring countries (as refugees). "Moreover, our Syrian brothers are also suffering from lack of funds, housing and facing tough living conditions as well as (some) health problems. He explained that his visit to the Kingdom is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Saudi Red Crescent and its Jordanian counterpart.
