Visiting Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah met today with the Mayor of the London Business Neighborhood Lord David O'ton in the presence of Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom. During the meeting, commercial and industrial relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them as well as opportunities and privileges available and enhancement of commercial and industrial cooperation through encouraging the private sectors in both countries were discussed. Later, the minister paid a visit to the City of Technology in downtown London where he was briefed on the objectives and nature of work of the companies operating there. On the other hand, His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, Duke of York, received the Minister at Buckingham Palace in the presence of Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz. During the meeting, a number of issues in the commercial and investment fields were discussed. The trade exchange size between the two countries surged to SR16.3 billion in 2010.
