The President of Human Rights Commission, Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban received here today Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs John Baird and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they discussed the relations between the two friendly countries and aspects of joint cooperation. Dr. Al-Aiban reviewed efforts exerted by the Saudi government to promote human rights and establish justice and equality at local and international levels. He also highlighted the grave violations of human rights against the Syrian unarmed people as well as the Palestinian people, calling for unification of international efforts to address these violations. For his part, the Canadian foreign minister commended the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as well as his reform programs, especially in the field of human rights, praising the strong relations between the two countries.
