At least 15 people were killed and two critically injured when a train rammed into their jeep at an unmanned railway crossing Tuesday in northern India, police said. The accident took place between Madu and Hathras stations, 178 kilometres south-east of New Delhi, superintendent of police Chandra Prakash said. All of the victims, 13 men and two women from nearby villages, were travelling in a sports utility vehicle, DPA reported.
