The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session which was held at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh today. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the discussions, contacts and messages he made during the last few days with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries and State envoys on the latest developments at regional, Arab and international arenas in addition to aspects of cooperation and ways of enhancing them in all fields, including the audience he held for King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the message he received from King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco and the telephone call he received from King Juan Carlos of the Kingdom of Spain. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, said the Cabinet discussed a number of reports on the latest developments and their repercussions in a number of Arab countries, reiterating that the Kingdom stressed the importance of focusing efforts on the immediate end to the bloodshed and violence in Syria according to the Arab League plan and its resolutions which have received wide and international support and been adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations. The Kingdom also stressed the importance of finding ways to facilitate delivery of relief and humanitarian assistance to the displaced Syrian people. Dr. Khoja said the Cabinet hailed the positive outcome of the 29th session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers and the efforts made by the ministers to strengthen the joint Arab security action and cooperation to address the risks and security challenges facing the security of Arab citizen. The Cabinet was briefed on the outcome of the 13th Ministerial Meeting of the International Energy Forum held last week in Kuwait in which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia along with more than 70 producers and consumers of oil participated. The Cabinet expressed satisfaction over the discussions of the forum. --More
