The number of Syrian refugees in Syria in view of the continuation of violence amounted to some 15,000 while the number of Syrian officers who fled the army reached seven, it was reported here today. The Turkish Broadcasting and Television Commission TRT quoted Saljoug Unal, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, as saying that the number of Syrians who crossed the border for safety to Turkey amounted to 14700 with a high-ranking officer among them. This brings to seven the number of Syrian officers fleeing the army to Turkey in protest of the continuation of violence against the Syrian people.
