The Islamic International Relief Commission, an affiliate of the Makkah-based Muslim World League, has provided urgent assistance to some 1600 Syrian refugee families in north Lebanon, Al-Baqa'a and along the border between Syria and Lebanon, it was reported here today. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Abdulkareem Al-Musa, Director of the Islamic International Relief Office in Lebanon said the consignments include 30-kg food baskets regularly distributed over refugees since their arrival in Lebanon. Each basket meets the needs of one family for nearly a month, confirming that the Commission would continue providing this aid until the Syria crisis is over.
