Security spokesman at the Ministry of Interior Major General Mansour al-Turki has said that in line with care by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for bringing back the remaining Saudis detained at Guantanamo Bay, a team of Saudi specialists left for Guantanamo Bay to discuss the prospects for accelerating the procedures of bringing back the remaining Saudis to the Kingdom, to assess their situation, reassure their families about them and to emphasize to them the Kingdom's care for continuing its efforts to bring them back home and reunite them with their families. He explained that the group of Saudi specialists completed their mission during which they interviewed eight (8) citizens of the detainees at Guantanamo Bay, as well as holding several meetings with those responsible for the administration of the prison. During the meetings, the Saudi team reaffirmed the Kingdom's interest and readiness to bring back all detained Saudis and treat them in accordance with regulations of the Kingdom including subjecting them to counseling and care programs. The security spokesman expressed the Interior Ministry's appreciation for the cooperation of the competent authorities in the United States in inviting and enabling the Saudi delegation to meet with detained Saudis in Guantanamo Bay and discuss chances of bringing them back to the kingdom and explained that the families of the Saudi nationals detained in Guantanamo Bay were briefed on the results of the visit and the health of their relatives. They also were reassured about the Kingdom's intention to continue its efforts and do everything it can to move them to the Kingdom at the earliest possible opportunity.
