A homemade bomb exploded at a shop in the southern Philippines on Saturday, killing two people and wounding 14 others, the military said. According to dpa, Lieutenant Colonel Randolph Cabangbang, a regional military spokesman, said the bomb was planted outside the store in Jolo town in Jolo island, 1,000 kilometers south of Manila. Cabangbang said authorities were still establishing who was behind the bombing.
