Rescuers were searching on Wednesday for dozens of workers believed missing after an explosion ripped through a chemical plant in northern China's Hebei province, killing at least 17 people and injuring 46. Several more dead and injured workers were found at the Hebei Keeperchemical Industries Co in Hebei's Zhaoxian county following the huge explosion and fire on Tuesday, state media said. Dozens more were feared dead or missing, the official Xinhua news agency quoted Wu Haijiang, the deputy head of the Zhaoxian county government, as saying. About 100 people were working at the time of the blast, Wu said.
