A snow storm in eastern Canada caused major traffic problems in Ontario and Quebec, where police reported hundreds of collisions. A second storm prompted Environment Canada to issue warnings in western and central Canada, UPI cited CBC News as reporting Friday. No serious injuries were reported in any of the collisions, police said. A number of flights at airports in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal were either delayed or canceled, air port officials said. The storm hit Montreal Friday afternoon and was expected drop 6-7 inches of snow, while eastern Quebec could see up to a foot of snow before the storm moves further east. Blizzard conditions were forecast into Saturday in parts of New Brunswick, CBC News said. Environment Canada issued a watch for most of southern Saskatchewan as a second storm moved east and could drop 6-7 inches of snow through the day Saturday. Parts of British Columbia were under an avalanche warning through Monday, CBC News said.
