Earthquakes Canada said Wednesday the temblor was detected in the Lachute, Quebec, region at 1:36 p.m. EDT. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. Lachute is about 52 miles (85 kilometers) northwest of Montreal, Quebec, and 86 miles (140 kilometers) northeast of Ottawa, Ontario.
