On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheilh, Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura, will open here tomorrow the 3rd Consultative Conference for Speakers of G20 Member States Parliaments under the theme "Economic Growth for a Sustainable Safe World". Participants in the two-day event are set to discuss important issues including international dialogue among cultures, the impact of the financial crisis on world stability and the role of energy for sustainable development. Following representatives of the group members: Italy, Federal Russia, Turkey, China, Japan, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and European Union, have confirmed attending. Moreover, Spain, Hungary, UAE, Jordan, Morocco, Malaysia, Kazakhstan and the International Parliamentary Union will attend as observers. In a press conference held on last Tuesday, the Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura said that the Saudi Government under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, is keen to back up any global gathering conducive to the restoration of a stable world economy and realization of balanced and sustainable growth through concerted efforts.
